I did an extensive amount of research before purchasing the Rancilio Silvia and have not been disappointed one bit. Extremely well made and built like a battleship,it heats up quickly makes excellent espresso and provides plenty of steam for lattes. I've had and used plenty of other so called "professional home machines", including Gaggia, this is by far the best.Don't be conned into buying a machine that will leave you frustrated time after time.This little lady will satisfy the most demanding home barista.
